Who we are

Who we are

Established in 2011, Human Care Syria has funded dozens of large infrastructure programmes in war-torn Syria, including building and maintaining underground, bunker schools.

For the past 4 years, through your financial gifts, we have supported thousands of Syrians on the ground, in Syria and surrounding countries, providing emergency humanitarian aid in the form of shelter, food and even baby milk; medical aid in the form of medical kits and equipment for Syrian doctors; and infrastructure programmes, rebuilding Syria’s education and medical system, as well as providing platforms for Syrians to start their own businesses.

Human Care Syria is the working name of UK-registered NGO, Human Care Foundation Worldwide. We are governed by a collective board of trustees who regularly review and decide on initiatives responding to humanitarian needs in the country, and that of the Syrian refugees in neighbouring countries. Human Care Syria operates according to universally recognised humanitarian principles, values and practices and in full compliance with the rules and regulations of UK charity law.

It was the crisis in Syria that prompted members of the Syrian diaspora across the United Kingdom to send humanitarian aid and assistance to those suffering due to the conflict that marked our beginning as Human Care Syria. The plight of conflict torn Syria moved us to work untiringly to send convoys packed with medical aid and non-food items including winter hats, gloves and socks, which were driven by a dedicated team of volunteers to Syria.

Our mission is to deliver aid and development programmes to those who need it most in an efficient and effective way without prejudice to people’s religion, sex, age or ethnic background.

Help us fundraise for Syria, to fund projects in Syria, for both short-term humanitarian aims and long-term infrastructure aims.

Beliefs and Values

We are dedicated to restoring stability to war torn Syria by providing immediate humanitarian aid and relief as well as being committed to the long term development of building a peaceful community in Syria.

In the 4 years that we have operated on the ground in Syria, we have been achieving our goals by implementing child development programmes, empowering individuals to rebuild their lives by funding businesses, building schools, and helping to stock medical supplies in hospitals and clinics to cope with the Syrian refugee crisis.

We believe that by supporting individuals, we are laying foundations for brighter futures not only for them, but for the entire community and empowering generations to come.

We are accountable to:

  • Our beneficiaries - the people whom we serve;
  • Our supporters – people like you , in the way we use your generous donations for Syria;
  • Our colleagues - on the ground in Syria and in the UK, who work tirelessly to make things happen, some even risking their lives to deliver aid
  • The rules, laws and legislations that govern us
