Turn up your thermostat for Syria

As winter descends and we begin getting into our winter clothes and enjoying our hot drinks, we cannot forget the plight of the 13.1 million Syrians in need. With 6.6 million Syrians internally displaced from their homes and living from camp to camp, the winter months can be the most punishing.

HUMAN CARE SYRIA, WITH OUR WORKING PARTNER WATAN, IS PROVIDING ESSENTIAL AID AND SUPPORT IN THE TWO MAJOR POPULATION CENTRES OF IDLIB AND ALEPPO.

Until now we have supported 31,623 families and we aim to continue supporting them this winter.

This year, on-top of providing winter kits we are also running a home rehab project which will aim to repair health centres, schools and homes.

We have helped over 3016 people so far this winter
  • 13.5 million people in need of assistance.*
  • 6.6 million people are internally displaced.*
  • Last year many parts of Syria saw the harshest winter as temperatures dropped to -13 degrees.
  • Syria is the worst humanitarian crisis in the world today.
  • At least 1.2 million homes have been destroyed.
  • Refugees cannot afford clothes or fuel to keep themselves warm.
