With the conflict prevailing throughout the country, hundreds of thousands of families have witnessed a humanitarian disaster before their eyes, many have lost members of their families, lost their homes and had to flee in search of safety in a terror stricken country.
By providing psychosocial programmes for those who have witnessed the atrocities before their eyes we seek to provide them with support to restore stability to their lives by addressing their needs now to minimising the impact on generations to come.
Human Care Syria has been supporting these programmes in Lebanon and Jordan and are now implementing the programme in Internally Displaced Camps. . We seek to increase a feeling of identity and self-worth that enhances psychological healing and in turn to reconstruct a social web and sense of community enabling refugees to act together to improve their lives. Our programme brings together education with a range of sporting and cultural activities, including songs and story-telling, to benefit the overall well-being of the child.
